Anti-estrogen therapy reduces risk of breast cancer recurrence
In a new video shared by OncLive.com, Daniel Hayes, M.D., Clinical Director of the Breast Oncology Program in the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center, discusses the results of trials involving the use of anti-estrogen therapy for more than five years for breast cancer patients.
"We now have substantial data - at least four trials - to suggest that as long as you keep giving anti-estrogen therapy, it continues to suppress the risk of those late recurrences coming back," says Hayes.
